Divekar & Co. is one of Mumbai’s oldest firms of Advocates & Solicitors, with a practice that today reaches across India and around the world. Established in 1921, the firm has served clients, institutions and the profession for over a century.

The legacy of Divekar & Co. is strengthened by generations of legal scholars and accomplished professionals. Former partner Mr. G. M. Divekar authored nearly twenty highly regarded legal publications, including works on property documentation, rent control, Hindu law, and stamp legislation. His books continue to serve as valuable reference material for lawyers, law students, and members of the judiciary.
Continuing this tradition of legal scholarship, Dr. Pallavi Divekar has authored books and Bare Acts on the Contract Act and Specific Relief Act while actively sharing practical legal insights through her blog, A Lawyer Speaks. Her work reflects the firm’s commitment to making legal knowledge accessible and relevant. Our team brings together experienced legal professionals and dynamic young advocates who collaborate to provide practical, strategic, and result-oriented legal solutions. Yashodhan Divekar is an Advocate and Solicitor with over 35 years of experience in the practice of law. His practice centres on civil litigation, domestic and international commercial arbitration, and real estate transactions.
Earlier in his career, he served as a Professor of Administrative Law and Constitutional Law at Government Law College, Mumbai, from 1993 to 2001, teaching constitutional and administrative law to a generation of students who have gone on to distinguished careers at the bar and on the bench.
He is appointed by the Bombay High Court on the panel of Arbitrators and conducts numerous arbitrations. Even as an advocate he appears for parties in both Domestic and International Arbitration.

Dr. Pallavi Divekar is an Advocate and Solicitor whose academic distinction a rank holder throughout her studies is matched by an accomplished sporting career, having played first-class cricket representing Rest of India, India and India-A.
She is a Board Member , shareholder of the Worldwide Independent Lawyers League (W.I.L.L.), an international law organisation with a presence in over 70 countries and more than 400 affiliates worldwide — the network through which the firm supports clients on cross-border matters across jurisdictions. She heads the organisation in India as President, W.I.L.L India.
